Jaycee's Big Week

It was quite the week for my little girl. Her birthday was Tuesday. The big 3. I've told her now that she's 3 I can't carry her anymore. She has to walk. She asked me if I would still hold her hand, and of course I will.
We had a small party and invited our neighbor's the Edgington's. We finally made use of the Spongebob pinata that our friend, Elliot, had given Jaycee a year and a half ago. The kids had a blast hitting it!
As you can see, I'm really creative. I made a cake out of a mix, with pre-made frosting. I know, I'm a terrible mom. Jaycee didn't care. She just wanted a pink cake and to blow out the candles. She kept wanting to eat it even before it was even made.

Thursday was Jaycee's first day of preschool. She was really excited to go. She even let me put pigtails in her hair. That's quite rare for her. It's hard enough to get her to let me comb it. She insisted on wearing her back pack in the car. I told her it wouldn't fit in her car seat, but she could hold it if she wanted. That seemed to appease her.
When I picked her up her teacher told me she didn't say a word in class. We can't get her to stop talking at home. She'd also wet her pants. Not a big surprise, since she probably didn't tell the teacher she had to go potty. When I asked her about it on the way home she said, "it's not pee mom, it's just sweat!" I told her it must have been a lot of sweat to have to change her pants. She told me to "just stop talking about it mom." Yes, my daughter has a bit of an attitude.
