My Little Shark

While we were in Fargo for Mike's orientation, Jaycee kept complaining that her mouth hurt. I knew she had some loose teeth, so I thought that's all it was. When I looked in her mouth, I discovered two new teeth growing in behind her bottom front baby teeth. They were loose, but not even close to coming out. We started calling her a shark since sharks grow two rows of teeth. When we got back home, I got her into the dentist who decided to pull them that day. Jaycee handled it very well. When the dentist was explaining how the gas would make her feel, Jaycee told her she was weird. The whole thing only took about 30 minutes. When I went in after, the assistant told me Jaycee giggled the whole time and when it was over she asked when they were going to take out her teeth. She was feeling pretty good until the numbs wore off and then she was a little sore and not feeling very good for a short time. She bounced back pretty fast. After a little nap she told me she was back to normal.

Not feeling so good.

Feeling better!

It's a little sad she had to lose her first teeth this way, but she was very happy when she got a visit from the tooth fairy that night!

What a tough girl! Isn't it crazy that Tooth Fairy currency has gone up almost 200% since we were kids. I'm dedicating a star in baby's honor once she loses her first tooth.
