Finally, after much searching, we bought our new dishwasher. I was quite impressed with how quickly Mike installed it. After the ordeal with the microwave, I was prepared for it taking at least a week to hook up the dishwasher. I was so relieved to have it done the afternoon we brought it home. Now, on to step 3, getting rid of that hideous magenta strip on the edges of my counters. My goal is to have everything done before we leave for Idaho in June. We still need to decide on the new counter tops, sink, and lighting and then we get to remove the lovely wallpaper then texture and paint.

I think it was supposed to match our red walls in the dining room, but the color is just a bit off.
