It was state project time this week. The 4th grade gets to draw a state out of a bowl to do their project on. Chantz got Delaware. Part of the assignment is a big presentation where they have to dress up like a famous person from their assigned state and give a little speech about themselves. Since Chantz had Delaware, he dressed up like Joe Biden. Yep, Joe Biden. Is there anyone else from Delaware who might be more famous than the Vice President?
He looked a lot better in the morning, with his hair all slicked back. But since the presentation wasn't until the afternooon, he'd sweated a lot and his hair didn't stay put. :( I wish I had taken a picture of him earlier to get the full effect.
I love our Goodwill store. We needed to find a suit jacket so he could look vice presidential, and I wasn't going to spend a fortune on a suit for him. Chantz has wanted a suit for a long time anyway, but we really have had no occasion to spend the money on one.Right when I walked in, they had a rack of little boys suits. I picked him up the blue jacket and a brown suit with the tags still on, and two ties for $10. Score! So, thank you, Joe Biden. If it weren't for having to dress up like you, my son would not have gotten his suit.
